Well, I start my new life journey tomorrow as I begin a job in a completely different industry. I’m excited about the challenge but not so much the initial up hill climb. What I don’t look forward to is the slow ramp up time it takes when you join a new company. All the paperwork, the getting set up on all the systems, etc. Now I’m not complaining (nod to pastor’s sermon this morning). I’m just stating facts. ![]()
I do look forward to learning new things. I look forward to forging new relationships. I hope to be a useful member of my new team while also doing my best to bring glory to God through this opportunity. Here’s a quick request to those reading this: if my new situation ever comes to your mind, please say a quick prayer that God will give me wisdom on the job and that I will continue to seek His will in all that I do.
If this was supposed to be my 5 month journey in the “desert,” then this desert was one really nice place. Ha. I could not have asked for better blessings from God than what He gave me during my time off (if you can call it that…I was working harder than I had in at least a year). I pray that the relationships that grew during my time at the church will continue to stay strong and I hope all of those I became close with know that they can contact me any time for help, an ear to hear, a discussion to be had, a joke to be told, etc.
And finally, I’ll end with a comment from my pastor, “I hope to have a great first day (and every day thereafter) of God’s provision tomorrow.”
